High Roller Reining Classic debuts to record attendance!
Las Vegas, Nevada will soon be inundated with Reiners! Today begins the move in for the long anticipated High Roller Reining Classic at the South Point Arena and Event Center. With stall reservations amounting upwards of 700 this looks to be the largest event yet. Pre-entries into the Futurity, Stakes and Derby are in the triple digits. The excitement is palpable as we get closer to the first day of the show Friday, September 6th. Horses from all over the United States and Canada are arriving and checking into their climate controlled stalls.
The South Point Arena and Equestrian Center is one of the finest event facilities in the country, and that position will be further strengthened as construction has begun on an Arena expansion. Earlier this year, South Point broke ground on the facility's new expansion project scheduled to open in the summer of 2014. The multi-million dollar expansion will be over 100,000 square feet and include two new climate-controlled arena areas.
The current Arena and Equestrian Center features more than 1,200 climate-controlled stalls, an indoor practice arena, an outside covered arena and the 4,600-seat main show arena. The state-of-the-art facility is unrivaled by any in the country in terms of design, customer service, variety of events and atmosphere. The South Point Arena and Equestrian Center is home to some of the world's largest and most unique equestrian events and has a unique ability to cater to any of the large variety of niches within the equestrian world. With more than 30 weeks of equestrian events scheduled in 2013 alone, the facility is recognized as the premier destination in the equestrian world.
Amanda Brumley, producer of the High Roller Reining Classic, is extremely excited about the expansion. "The High Roller Reining Classic growth is unprecedented. We have such a great loyal following of exhibitors, sponsors and spectators who love to come to Las Vegas! This expansion of the South Point's facility will offer us two additional arenas, so in 2014 we will have two show pens and even more warm up arenas. This couldn't come at a better time. In 2014, the show will be host to the first annual West Coast Breeders Select Sale in addition to our current lineup of Futurity, Derby, Stakes, Maturity and Ancillary divisions. We will never stop looking at ways to benefit the sport of Reining. More space gives us the room to grow. We couldn't be more excited about it!"
